README — JOSE ARACIL ================================================== JOSE ARACIL ================================================== **Entrepreneur. Founder. Former CEO. Exited entrepreneur. Technology advisor. Still curious.** I built a technology company, scaled it beyond 100 people and sold it to a publicly listed company. I am not looking for my next job. I am looking for the next problem worth solving. ================================================== HISTORY ================================================== ```text 1998 │ ├── University │ 2001 │ ├── First software projects │ 2004 │ ├── Globe Testing │ 2015 │ ├── Growth, teams and quality engineering │ 2021 │ ├── Globe joins Izertis │ 2022 │ ├── Radio Morón │ 2024 │ ├── Childhood cancer NGO │ 2026 │ └── Looking for the next problem worth solving ``` The dates above are a working timeline. Exact dates and milestones will be completed only when confirmed. ================================================== BUILD ================================================== ## Globe Testing I founded Globe Testing because I believed software quality could be a competitive advantage, not a final checkpoint. We built a consultancy specialised in software testing and quality engineering. The company grew beyond 100 people and later became part of Izertis, a publicly listed technology company. As CEO, the work was not only technology. It was hiring, trust, operating rhythm, difficult decisions, commercial discipline and learning how to scale without losing the reason the company existed. ## What building taught me Building a company means turning ambiguity into a sequence of decisions. It means making systems work for people, then making those systems observable enough to improve. The exact dates, transaction details and other figures are intentionally not included until confirmed. ================================================== LEARN ================================================== ## Errors The most expensive mistakes are often decisions delayed until they become emergencies. Good systems make bad news visible early. ## Principles - Quality is a business capability, not a final gate. - Automate the repeatable; protect human judgement. - Make systems observable before making them clever. - Clear decisions beat permanent alignment meetings. - Technology should create options, not dependence. - Culture is what a team does when nobody is explaining the values. ## Software and leadership Software is a way of making decisions executable. Leadership is deciding which decisions deserve to be made once, which should remain reversible and which need a person in the loop. ================================================== IMPACT ================================================== ## What matters to me now? There was a point when my son's illness changed the scale at which I looked at time, responsibility and success. I do not want to turn that experience into a story designed to provoke emotion. It simply changed the questions I ask before choosing a project. It is part of why I dedicate time to an NGO related to childhood cancer. The organisation name is intentionally not published until confirmed. It also changed the value I see in the medium-sized places where real work happens. The rural environment is not a backdrop or a limitation; it is a test of whether technology actually helps people and organisations with the resources they have. Radio Morón is one expression of that. I am helping modernise its technology as a personal project and a hobby, working on media infrastructure, audio, automation and practical uses of artificial intelligence. It is not my professional identity. It is a project I care about. SER Emprendedores is another reminder that useful ideas do not need to arrive in a large office to matter. I still understand ambition and business success. I simply choose projects now by asking what they make possible for other people, not only what they make possible for me. ================================================== NOW ================================================== ## Doing - Helping modernise Radio Morón technologically as a personal project. - Exploring automation, infrastructure, audio and AI applied to operations. - Giving time to an NGO related to childhood cancer. - Thinking about companies, technology and the problems that deserve attention. ## Looking for I am open to board roles, technology advisory, venture capital technology advisory, due diligence, independent director work and projects where experience building and scaling technology companies is useful. ## Not looking for I am not looking for conventional employment, another title for its own sake or a commitment that consumes the time reserved for the people and projects that matter to me. If you are working on a difficult problem and think there may be a useful conversation here, get in touch. ================================================== AVAILABILITY ================================================== I am selective by design. The opportunity should involve a difficult problem, meaningful responsibility and enough trust to make experience useful. It may be a board role, technology advisor work, venture capital technology advice, due diligence or an independent director position. It must also be compatible with the commitments described in `impact` and `now`. I am open to a conversation. I am not looking for a job search process. ================================================== CONTACT ================================================== If you are working on a problem that needs experience, judgement and a practical technology perspective, I am open to a conversation. - Email: **TODO: add a confirmed professional email address.** - LinkedIn: **TODO: add a confirmed profile URL.** No contact details are fabricated in this version.
